2.2.3.8. Intermediate shaft

GENERAL INFORMATION

To remove an intermediate shaft it is possible, only if the engine is removed from the car. The flange of fastening of an intermediate shaft has the oil channel from a reverse side and can be established only in one situation. The limiting axial gap of an intermediate shaft is equal 0,25 mm; if a gap more, it is necessary to replace a flange.

The order of removal and installation of an intermediate shaft is similar to removal and shaft installation at engines in working volume of 1,6 and 1,8 l (see subsection 2.2.2.6).

The moment of an inhaling of a bolt of fastening of a pulley of an intermediate shaft of 45 N · m (4,5 kgfs · м). At installation of a new pulley on the release engine till January, 1984 it is necessary to provide a gap of 0,5 mm (see fig. A gap between a pulley of an intermediate shaft and an arm of the fuel pump of a high pressure).
