The block of safety locks and the relay is in the left shelf 1 (see fig. Fastening of the top shelf) under the dashboard also it is closed by a cover 4.
The size of rated current is put on the safety lock case. Besides, the case of a safety lock has the color corresponding to nominal size of a current.
Prevention
From 08.89 g on cars of the Jetta models and from 08.89 g on cars of the Golf models the block of safety locks and the relay was changed. In the block of safety locks and the relay under safety locks there are spare safety locks and tweezers for a vynimaniye of safety locks from contact nests.
It is forbidden to replace safety locks with a wire or similar means since it can lead to serious damages of electric equipment.
