2.2.1.9. Epiploons of a cranked shaft

GENERAL INFORMATION

The forward epiploon of a cranked shaft is established in the case of the oil pump (at MN engines and 2G in a cover of a drive of the oil pump), the back epiploon is established in the holder.

Block of cylinders and case
1–back epiploon of the crankshaft;
2–bolt of the holder of an epiploon;
3–holder of a back epiploon;
4–laying of the holder;
5–drain stopper of a case;
6–stopper laying;
7–bolt of fastening of a cover of the radical bearing;
8–cover of the radical bearing;
9–bolt of fastening of a case;
10-oil case;
11-case laying;
12-block of cylinders;
13-guard of a case of coupling

Replacement of a forward epiploon

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To remove a belt of a drive of a cam-shaft and a cogwheel of a cranked shaft (see subsection 2.2.1.7)
2. To remove the oil pump (on MN engines and 2G to uncover a drive of the oil pump) (see subsection 2.2.1.11).
3. To take out an old epiploon from the case of the oil pump (at MN engines and 2G from a cover of a drive of the oil pump).
4. To press a new epiploon, previously having greased it with engine oil.
5. To establish into place the oil pump (a cover of a drive of the oil pump).
6. To establish a cogwheel of a cranked shaft and a belt of a drive of a cam-shaft.

Replacement of a back epiploon

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To remove a flywheel (see subsection 2.2.1.8).
2. To unscrew bolts 2 (see fig.) and to remove the block of cylinders and a case the holder 3 with laying 4.
3. To take out from the holder the 3rd epiploon 1.
4. To press a new epiploon in the holder, previously having greased it with engine oil.
5. To establish the holder 3 with new laying 4.
6. To wrap bolts 2 and to tighten evenly on a diagonal.
7. To establish a flywheel.

Replacement of epiploons (the engine is established on the car)

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Forward epiploon
1. To remove a belt of a drive of the generator, a pulley of the crankshaft, a cover of a drive of a cam-shaft, a belt of a drive of a cam-shaft, a crankshaft cogwheel.
2. Special stripper выпрессовать forward epiploon of the crankshaft.
3. To grease with engine oil a new epiploon.
4. To press a new epiploon the adaptation representing a pipe which nestles on external diameter of an epiploon. On the opposite end of a pipe the thick washer through which the bolt is passed is established. The bolt is twisted in a cranked shaft and through a washer and a pipe evenly presses an epiploon into place.
Back epiploon
5. To remove a transmission, coupling and an engine flywheel.
6. To take out an old epiploon a stripper or a screw-driver.
7. To grease a new epiploon with engine oil.
8. To press a new epiploon by means of the adaptation representing a flat washer of the same diameter, as an epiploon. In the center of a washer there is an opening under a crankshaft neck on which the flywheel, and also two openings, located on diameter of a washer into which bolts are inserted is established. Bolts are twisted in openings of fastening of a flywheel in a crankshaft flange. Evenly twisting bolts, press an epiploon into place.
