Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a wire from the "minus" plug of the storage battery.
2. To remove a steering wheel (see subsection 8.4).
3. To unscrew screws 2 (see fig. Fastening of the top shelf).
4. To remove the bottom casing of 1 dashboard.
5. To turn off three screws 7 (see fig. A steering wheel) and to remove podrulevy the switch.
6. To disconnect electricity cables.
7. To turn off bolts and to remove the bottom casing the 17th helmsman of a column.
8. To turn off bolts of fastening of a steering column.
9. To turn off a bolt 2 (see fig. Steering columns).
10. To turn off a bolt 10 on an arm.
11. To remove a steering column together with a spring 4.
Prevention

On release cars to 07.1984 g the shaft of a steering column, two-piece was established.


12. To remove a washer 9 (see fig. Steering wheel).
13. To remove a spring 10 and the top bearing 11.
14. To take out a connecting block from contact group 15.
15. To turn off the screw 16.
16. To remove the case 14 of the lock of ignition with inserted into the lock of ignition by a key (thus blocking should be removed).
17. To take out a shaft the 12th helmsman of a column (see fig. Steering columns) and bottom bearing 5.
18. To separate top 15 and bottom the 13th shaft of a steering column (for the release car till July, 1984) and to take out rubber laying 14.
19. To take out shaft 13 and 15 of a case the 11th helmsman of a column.

Assembly and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Assembly and installation of a steering column make as it should be, the return to dismantling and removal.
2. To grease bearings with universal greasing.
3. A new lock washer 9 (see fig. A steering wheel) put on against the stop.
4. For release cars till July, 1984 it is necessary to compress top 15 (see fig. Steering columns) and bottom the 13th shaft the special tool and to establish a new lock washer 9 (see fig. Steering wheel) against the stop.
5. For release cars till July, 1984 it is necessary to fix the lower part of a shaft in a vice so that the top part leaned on sponges of a vice and both half could not move relatively each other. Thus the pin located in the lower part of a shaft, should be visible in an opening of the top part. If necessary to move apart both parts against the stop.
6. To check work of a wheel, the podrulevy switch and a sound signal.
