Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To execute subitem 1–4 subsections 10.9.1.

2. To release the parking brake.

3. To remove a casing 15 (see fig. Parking brake).

4. To turn off lock-nuts 12 and adjusting nuts 13 from carving tips of 18 both ropes.

5. To disconnect a rope 1 (see fig. Removal of a rope of the parking brake) from the lever 2.

6. To remove a spring bracket 3.

7. To pull out a rope together with a cover, having disconnected from a clip 1 (see fig. Fastening of a cover of a rope of the parking brake).

Installation

Installation of a rope of the parking brake make as it should be, the return to removal then it is necessary to adjust the parking brake (see below).

ROPE OF THE PARKING BRAKE OF DRUM-TYPE BRAKES

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To execute subitem 1–4 subsections 10.12.

2. To remove a drum and to disconnect a rope from the lever (see subsection 10.10).

3. To pull out a rope together with a cover, having disconnected from a clip 1.

Installation

Installation of a rope of the parking brake make as it should be, the return to removal then it is necessary to adjust the parking brake (see below).

Adjustment of the parking brake

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To raise and establish on support a back part of the car.

2. To remove a cover 15 (see fig. Parking brake).

3. To unscrew lock-nuts 12 and adjusting nuts 13 from carving tips of both ropes.

4. To press strongly a brake pedal.

5. To tighten the lever of the parking brake on two clicks in release models till December, 1987 or on four clicks in release models after January, 1988.

6. To wrap adjusting nuts 13 until when still it will be possible to rotate back wheels a hand.

7. To release the parking brake and to check, whether both wheels freely rotate. If is not present – to release a little adjusting nuts 13.

8. To twirl lock-nuts 12, holding thus adjusting nuts 13.

9. To establish a cover 15.
