Installation of brake shoes

1–external brake shoe;

2–internal brake shoe;

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To establish basic whetstones under forward wheels.
2. To weaken bolts of fastening of back wheels.
3. To raise and establish on support a back part of the car.
4. To remove back wheels.
5. To wash out brakes warm water and to dry.
6. To disconnect a rope 1 (see fig. Removal of a rope of the parking brake) the parking brake from the lever 2.
7. To turn off the top bolt 20 (see fig. A back disk brake) fastenings of the case 26 of the cylinder to a support 16, holding with a wrench directing core 21.
8. To weaken the bottom bolt 29.
9. To turn the cylinder case 26 round the bottom bolt 29 so that the free access to brake shoes was formed.
10. To mark brake shoes 27 and 28 (if old blocks are established).
11. To remove brake shoes 27 and 28.
12. To check thickness of brake shoes. The thickness of a frictional slip makes not less than 7 mm. Otherwise to replace brake shoes together with slips.
13. To wash out alcohol of a place of landings of brake shoes.
14. To establish brake shoes 1 and 2 (see fig. Installation of brake shoes), watching thus that press springs 3 were in the top situation and were parallel to a face surface of blocks.
15. To turn the case 26 (see fig. Back disk brake) cylinder into place.
16. To twirl an old top bolt 20.
17. To replace the bottom bolt 29 with the new.

Prevention

The gap between an external brake shoe and ledges of the case should be equal to 1 mm. The gap is necessary for checking with the help щупа and if necessary to adjust it.


18. To check shchupy a gap between an external brake shoe 27 and ledges of the case 26 of the cylinder.
19. If the gap is equal to 1 mm, to twist a new top bolt 20 and to tighten both bolts 20 and the 29th moment of 35 N · m.
20. If the gap is excellent from specified, to unscrew the top bolt 20 and to adjust position of the piston 18, rotating it a shestigrannik so that to achieve a demanded gap.
21. To twirl a new top bolt 20 and to tighten bolts 20 and the 29th moment of 35 N · m.
22. To fix a rope of the parking brake (see fig. Removal of a rope of the parking brake) on the lever 2.
23. To adjust the parking brake (see subsection 10.12).
