GENERAL INFORMATION

Details of system of cooling of engines in working volume of 1,1 and 1,3 l

1–branch pipe of an inlet pipe;
2–drain tube;
3–collar;
4–a hose liquid plum from an inlet pipe;
5–a hose of a supply of liquid to an inlet pipe;
6–the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid;
7–sealing ring;
8–case of a nest of the thermostat;
9–laying;
10-thermostat;
11-sealing ring;
12-cover of a nest of the thermostat;
13-radiator;
14-sealing ring;
15-water pump

The thermostat is established at engines in working volume of 1,1 and 1,3 l in the case 8 (cм. fig. Details of system of cooling of engines in working volume of 1,1 and 1,3 l) thermostat nests, and at engines in working volume of 1,6 and 1,8 l – in the lower part of the case 13 (see fig. Details of system of cooling of engines in working volume of 1,6 and 1,8 l) water pump.

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To merge liquid from system of cooling of the engine.
2. At engines in working volume of 1,1 and 1,3 l to disconnect a hose 12 (see fig. A radiator and the fan of system of cooling of engines in working volume of 1,1 and 1,3 l) from a cover 12 (cм. fig. Details of system of cooling of engines in working volume of 1,1 and 1,3 l). To unscrew bolts of fastening of a cover and to uncover 12 with a sealing ring 11. To take out the thermostat 10.
3. At engines in working volume of 1,6 and 1,8 l to disconnect a hose 18 (cм. fig. A radiator and the fan of system of cooling of engines in working volume of 1,6 and 1,8 l) from a cover 5 (see fig. Details of system of cooling of engines in working volume of 1,6 and 1,8 l). To unscrew bolts 6 and to uncover 5 with a sealing ring 7. To take out the thermostat 8.
4. To check the thermostat. For this purpose to measure length of the thermostat as it is specified in point 5. To suspend the thermostat in a vessel with the water which has been heated up to temperature 70–75 ° With so that it did not concern walls. Gradually to heat up water in a vessel, constantly mixing it that water temperature was identical in all volume. At temperature 88 ° About the valve of the thermostat should start to open. To heat up the thermostat to 102 ° With, at this temperature the valve of the thermostat should open completely.
5. To measure length of the thermostat in a warm condition (And). Its length should increase by 7 mm. Let's to the thermostat cool down and measure its length in a cold condition (and). It should be same, as before heating. If the specified conditions are not carried out, the thermostat means is faulty and it is necessary to replace it.
6. To establish the thermostat as it should be, the return to removal. At installation to replace a sealing ring, bolts of a cover of a nest of the thermostat to tighten the moment of 10 N · m (1,0 kgfs · м).
