3.1.5. Removal and installation of the fuel pump

GENERAL INFORMATION

Power supply system elements

1–remote laying of the fuel pump;
2–sealing ring;
3–bolt of fastening of the fuel pump;
4–fuel pump;
5–collar;
6–a hose from the filter to the pump;
7–fuel filter;
8–a hose from топливопровода to the filter;
9–топливопровод;
10-tube of the return fuel plum;
11-a hose from the tank to a tube of the return plum;

At engines in working volume of 1,1 and 1,3 l the fuel pump is established on the right side of a head of the block of cylinders and is put in action from a cam on distributive to a shaft. At engines in working volume of 1,6 and 1,8 l the fuel pump is established on the left side of the block of cylinders, near an arm of the oil filter, and is put in action by intermediate shaft.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect from the fuel pump 4 hoses 6 and 16.
2. To unscrew two bolts of 3 fastenings of the pump and to remove the pump 4.
3. To check, the pump is serviceable or not, it is necessary to connect to it топливопривод from a fuel tank, then several times to press the lever of a drive of the pump. If from the pump by pressing the lever fuel is splashed out, the pump means is serviceable.
4. To establish the pump upside-down. The pump does not understand and is not under repair; if the pump is faulty, it is necessary to replace it.
