GENERAL INFORMATION

Adjustment of a tension of a belt of a drive of the generator on release models to 04.1985 g.

1–belt of a drive of the generator;

2–pulley of the water pump;

3–pulley of a cranked shaft;

4–generator pulley;

5–adjusting level;

6–adjusting bolt;

7–generator;

M – a point of the appendix of effort on a belt

Adjustment of a tension of a belt of a drive of the generator on release models after 04.1985 g.

1–generator;

2–adjusting level;

3–adjusting nut;

4–bolt of an adjusting nut;

5–bolt of fastening of an adjusting level

Adjustment for both types of fastening is similar.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
On models to 03.1985 g.
1. To weaken the top bolt 7 (see fig. Generator fastening) generator fastenings.
2. To weaken an adjusting bolt 4.
3. To weaken a bolt 3.
4. To turn the generator 1 towards the engine.
5. To remove a belt 1 (see fig. Adjustment of a tension of a belt of a drive of the generator on release models to 04.1985 g) a generator drive.
6. To establish a new belt of a drive of the generator.
7. To twirl slightly adjusting bolt 6 so that the generator spontaneously did not turn.
8. To place the lever between the engine and the generator and with its help to turn the generator, thereby having pulled a belt of a drive of the generator. If a belt will pull correctly, by strong pressing of a finger in the M point it should cave in on 5 mm at an old belt and on 2 mm at installation of a new belt.
9. To tighten bolts 3 (see fig. Generator fastening), 4 and 7.
On models since April, 1985.

Prevention

From 04.1985 g the design of the mechanism of a tension of a belt of a drive of the generator is changed. Instead of an adjusting bolt the bolt and an adjusting nut with a teeth is established, and the adjusting level has a gear lath. The belt stretches turn of an adjusting nut which moves on a gear lath.

Depending on type of fastening of the generator the adjusting level is either from above or from below.

10. To weaken the bottom bolt of fastening of the generator.
11. To weaken a bolt 5 (see fig. Adjustment of a tension of a belt of a drive of the generator on release models after 04.1985 g) fastenings of an adjusting level.
12. To weaken a bolt 4 adjusting nuts.
13. To twist an adjusting nut until the generator will not turn to such an extent that it was possible to remove a drive belt.
14. To establish a new belt.
15. To twirl an adjusting nut 3 and to tighten it the moment of 4 N · m at an old belt of a drive and 8 N · m at the new. The demanded tension of a belt of a drive of the generator is thus reached.
16. To tighten a bolt the 4th moment of 35 N · m, holding thus an adjusting nut.
17. To tighten a bolt the 5th moment of 20 N · m.
18. To tighten the bottom bolt of fastening of the generator.
