5.4.2.4. Differential

GENERAL INFORMATION

Removal of a conducted gear wheel of the main pair and dismantling of the case of differential are connected with certain difficulties and existence of special fixing sets therefore for performance of these operations it is recommended to address on service station. Replacement of conic roller bearings of differential see subsection 5.2.2.4.

Differential adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Adjustment of differential make similar to adjustment of differential of a transmission of type 084 (see subsection 5.2.2.4) except for the following.

2. The washer in thickness of 1 mm is established to a case of coupling and the external ring of the bearing is respectively pressed. After measurements and selection an adjusting washer of the demanded thickness establish in a transmission case.

3. To calculate thickness of an adjusting washer on a formula: S2 = Sn + 0,4 mm, where S2 – settlement thickness of a demanded adjusting washer, Sn – the measured size of an axial gap.
