3.2.5. Check of the valve of warming up of the engine

GENERAL INFORMATION

Elements of system of injection of K-Jetronic fuel

1, 5, 9 – electric connecting blocks;
2–sealing ring;

After start, during warming up, the engine needs richer mix. The valve 21 (see fig. The system scheme вспрыска K-Jetronic fuels), being actually a pressure regulator, reduces pressure upon the piston 22 distributors of fuel. As a result the plate 18 will rise above and will move the piston 22 up that will lead to mix enrichment.

Check of the valve make on the cold engine in the following order:

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect the central wire of a high voltage from the distributor of ignition and to connect it to "weight".
2. To disconnect an electric block 9 (see fig. Elements of system of injection of K-Jetronic fuel) from the valve 8.
3. To connect the voltmeter to contacts of a block 9 and to include a starter. The voltmeter should show tension not below 11,5 Century.
4. To switch off ignition. To connect to valve contacts an ohmmeter. The ohmmeter should show resistance of 20-26 Ohm, otherwise the valve replace.
