Previously to check work of a centrifugal regulator, it is necessary to turn a hand a begunok 3 (see fig. The ignition distributor), overcoming resistance of springs of a centrifugal regulator. To release a begunok, it should return at once to a starting position. If it does not occur, means springs of a regulator are stretched or jam грузики a regulator.
More exact check can be made by means of a stroboscope:
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. To connect to the engine a stroboscope. |
| 2. To disconnect a hose from the vacuum proof-reader of the 19th distributor. |
| 3. To start the engine and to leave to idle. |
| 4. To direct a stroboscope lamp on adjusting labels (see subsection 12.13.1.6 item 4). |
| 5. Increasing frequency of rotation, to watch a label on a pulley of the crankshaft or an engine flywheel. If the label is displaced at increase in frequency of rotation, the centrifugal regulator means works. |
